Introduction

The field of logistics in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is classified as one of the important areas in Vision 2030. This is to contribute to supporting modern knowledge regarding developments in supply chain management, as well as the influx of pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims and their grouping, especially during the Hajj period. To keep pace with the continuous expansion witnessed by the logistics sector, there is a need to hold this type of conference to discuss vital issues that are more challenging and are affecting the economic movement in the Kingdom. Smart logistics is used in many areas, for example in the flow and storage of goods, in addition to the transmission of information from its source to the target destinations. Several models and algorithms have been developed to improve the planning and execution of logistics tasks, to find the most efficient transportation schedule. New technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data analytics, and smart transportation can play an important role in discovering optimal logistics solutions. The conference will discuss logistics using advanced decision support systems, computational intelligence, and advanced technologies. The International Logistics Conference is a platform for researchers to present solutions to modern logistics challenges. This conference was built on the idea of mixing presentations by researchers, panel discussions and discussion sessions to ensure the highest levels of interaction among the participants in this conference.
